SQLEditor Upgrade Assurance

SQLEditor receives regular updates and upgrades. We add major new features each year along with various minor improvements
- Major upgrades to SQLEditor (e.g from 1.0 to 2.0) are paid upgrades
- Minor updates (e.g from 1.1 to 1.2) are free.
- When you buy SQLEditor it includes 12 months of all upgrades including any paid upgrades.
- After 12 months you would be asked to pay for major upgrades.
Subscribe and Save!
As an option we provide the Upgrade Assurance subscription
Upgrade Assurance gives you free access to all SQLEditor upgrades released for a whole year. Buying Upgrade Assurance is the cheapest and easiest way to get access to these upgrades and subscribing will cost less than paying for each upgrade as we release them.
This is a single one-off payment. When your subscription expires we will normally contact you and ask if you would like to purchase another 12 months of assurance, but it doesn’t automatically renew.
Remember you don’t have to buy Update Assurance although you could save money by subscribing.
How much does it cost?
To use Upgrade Assurance you do need to have a valid license as well.

What are the Requirements?
- You need a license to SQLEditor (or there would be nothing to upgrade)
- You need one subscription to match each license you want to upgrade
- You have to buy upgrade assurance before an upgrade is announced. ~nl~It can’t be applied to any upgrades that are released before your subscription starts or released after your subscription ends.
- You do not need to maintain a continuous subscription, so you can resubscribe later if you want. If you do this you won’t get any upgrades released during the gap between subscriptions
What if you don’t release any upgrades?
This is an important point:
The Upgrade Assurance subscription only covers upgrades we actually release. If no eligible upgrades are released then you won’t receive anything.
That said, we fully intend to release upgrades on a regular schedule as we have been doing for some years now.
